On May 10th, RCPD Detectives arrested Michael McCormick for committing an armed robbery at the Easy Shop Market. 
On May 5, 2010, at approximately 5:48 p.m., deputies responded to a call of armed robbery that had just occurred at the Easy Shop Market on Arrow Route. The suspect was described as a 30 year old white male, approximately 5”10” tall, wearing a light grey shirt and blue jeans. The suspect reportedly pointed a silver revolver at the clerks face and demanded money. Witness statements indicated that the suspect fled the store towards the Willow Apartments and entered a 1980’s white four door car with a luggage rack attached to the roof. Deputies searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect. On May 10, 2010, Rancho Cucamonga Detectives spotted what they believed to be the suspects’ vehicle at the corner of 6th and San Antonio. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver, Michael McCormick, was positively identified as the suspect that committed the robbery. During a search of the vehicle, detectives located a silver revolver. Michael McCormick was taken into custody without further incident and booked at West Valley Detention Center for Robbery. Based on their investigation, Detectives believe that Michael McCormick may be responsible for committing other armed robberies in the area.
