On July 13, 2010, at approximately 12:00pm, the San Anselmo Police Department received a third party report of a suspicious person who had attempted to entice a female juvenile into his vehicle as he drove through creek park. The juvenile said she was walking her dog in the parking lot area when a vehicle approached. As it neared, she said the driver asked her if she had seen his dog and then asked her to help him look for it. The juvenile said she was scared by the male driver and immediately turned and ran away. She is unaware if the man attempted to follow her.

The juvenile described the driver as an older white male adult, balding
with no facial hair. She said he was driving an older model gray pickup and described it as "beat up". No further description of the driver or his vehicle was given.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description given. Although no other similar incidents have been reported, officers also checked the following parks and schools; Robson Park, Memorial Park, St. Anselm's School, Wade Thomas School and Lower Brookside School. The vehicle and driver have not been located.

This case remains under investigation. If you have seen a vehicle similar to the one described above, please don’t hesitate to contact the San Anselmo Police Department at (415) 258-4610.
