Two men died in a single-vehicle crash. The SUV was discovered on I30 upside down between pillars of Davis Bridge.
The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle accident that resulted in the death of two men. Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a crashed SUV on Interstate 30 under the Davis Street bridge at approximately 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Officers arrived to find a Lexus SUV upside down and lodged between the bridge pillars on the westbound side of the highway. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle and the passenger remained in the SUV. Both men, who are believed to be in their early 20s, were deceased at the scene. Next of kin notifications have not been made. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will confirm that notification and release their names once that has occurred.
The Davis Street bridge was temporarily closed this morning because debris from the wreck was on the bridge roadway. This accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about this wreck is encouraged to call Arlington Police Officer David Szatkowski at 817 459-5635.
