Hate crime graffiti vandalism investigation at Calabasas High School
Deputies received a call of vandalism at Calabasas High School on the 22000 block of Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, on Saturday morning, April 23, 2011.
School maintenance workers reported that upon reporting to work at about 9:00AM, they found graffiti vandalism spray painted on the school’s doors, walls, sidewalks and a stop sign.
Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station deputies saw that the graffiti included Nazi Swastikas, words and symbols related to anti-Semitism, teachers names, and more.
The crime is believed to have occurred between Friday at 4pm and Saturday at 9am.
The school has repaired the damage, which included the need to sand blast a section of damaged wall and cement.
Malibu/ Lost Hills Station detectives, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, are handling the investigation as a felony vandalism and hate crime. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to call Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station detectives at (818) 878-1808.
