Los Angeles County Sheriff's Parks Bureau Deputies make an arrest in a sophisticated Marijuana growing operation.

On Friday, July 15, 2011, members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Parks Bureau Special Problems Team arrested a man for having an illegal Marijuana grow.
While conducting directed patrol in the area surrounding Pearblossom Park, they received information which led them to the 32000 block of Delbana Avenue, Pearblossom. A search of that location turned up a sophisticated Marijuana growing operation with almost one hundred plants in one of the out buildings on the property. The out building was equipped with lighting, a ventilation system, and a water filtration system. The deputies also found that the suspect had illegally tapped into the Southern California Edison power lines to provide power for the out building.
Cody Downs, Male, White, thirty years-of-age was arrested for Possession of Marijuana for Sale, Cultivation of Marijuana and Theft of Utilities. He was booked at Palmdale Sheriff Station and is being held in lieu of $100,000 dollar bail.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Departments Parks Bureau is dedicated to providing a safe and drug free environment at all Los Angeles County Parks.
