Benicia Police Announce "Coffee with Cops" Thursday, 11/17, at the First Street Cafe, 440 First Street, 8 to 9 am

Benicia Police Chief Andrew Bidou announced a "Coffee with the Cops" pilot program to be implemented by the Benicia Police Department in an effort to enhance communication between community members and the Police Department. The first meeting is set for Thursday, November 17th, at the First Street Cafe, 440 First Street, from 8 to 9 am.

"Meetings will have an informal format," Chief Bidou said. "They are designed to be informative regarding public safety and quality of life issues that impact our
neighborhoods. This will be a monthly presentation at locations throughout the

Police Officers, Professional Staff and the Police Chief will be discussing crime trends and other issues throughout the city. They will be available to answer questions, offer tips and
provide information on topics of interest as well as speak with residents about
enhancing Neighborhood Watch Programs and other strategies to reduce crime.
