SANTA ANA POLICE REQUEST THE HELP OF COMMUNITY IN MURDER INVESTIGATION THAT OCCURRED - 12-1-2011
VICTIM IDENTIFIED
On 12/1/11, Santa Ana Police Department received a call of a possible shooting in the 1100 block of East Chestnut. Arriving officers locate an unidentified female (17-21 years of age) lying on the sidewalk, the victim of a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to Western Medical Center where she was treated for her injury. After surgery, the victim was placed on life support.
On 12/2/2011, the female, identified as 20 year old Brenda Romero of Santa Ana, was pronounced deceased.
The suspect was described as a male, no further description. The motive of the shooting is unknown.
