Just before noon Tuesday, Los Angeles County Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station deputies received a call of a residential burglary in progress at a home in the 20000 block of Gold Run Drive, Diamond Bar.

The victim was in her home at the time of the burglary and was startled when the suspect forced open the front door of her residence.

The victim was able to telephone 911 and provide a detailed description of the suspect and the vehicle he entered as he fled from the scene.

An alert deputy responding to the emergency call recognized the suspect vehicle and summoned additional deputies. A felony traffic stop was made and the three occupants were arrested without incident. The suspects were positively identified as being responsible for the residential burglary.

The suspects, identified as Chaka Thomas (MB/18, resident of Los Angeles), Shaquille Gordon (MB/18, resident of Los Angeles) and Monique Scruggs (FB/30, resident of Los Angeles), were booked at Walnut / Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station. They are each being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
