Duck Court Homicide, Duane Brown Jr. (30 years old) has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and 1st Degree burglary

Homicide Investigation

On March, 18 2012 at approximately 2:52 am, officers responded to 700 block of Duck Court in reference to a shooting. Once officers arrived on scene, a victim was located inside his apartment with an apparent gunshot wounds. The victim, Kevin Moseby (28 years of age), was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel.

The suspect to the shooting, Duane Eric Brown Jr. (30 years old) was wounded during the altercation and was later apprehended as he attempted to seek medical treatment at Cape Fear Valley Hospital for his injuries.

Brown is the ex-boyfriend of Moseby's ex-wife. Moseby and his ex-wife were rekindling their marriage at the time of the shooting.
