Murder Charges Dropped on Graham, Another Suspect Identified

After gathering more evidence in the shooting at Club Ciroc on March 18, 2012, Homicide Detectives have dropped charges against Lendell Graham. Detectives have identified Carlos Whitted as the person responsible for the shooting death of Steven Bruno. Warrants for Whittted’s arrest have been secured for 2nd Degree Murder, Assault With a Deadly With Intent to Kill and Inflict Serious Injury, and Shooting Into Occupied Property.

6’03” tall, 238 lbs
Whitted has several identifying features including gunshot scars on his stomach and on his leg and several tattoos including:
- “Fayettenam” on forearm
- “Love Ones” on forearm
- “Only the strong survive” on upper arm
Wanted for:
• 2nd Degree Murder
• Assault With a Deadly With Intent to Kill and Inflict Serious Injury
• Shooting Into Occupied Dwelling/Moving Vehicle

Update # 2 (3/20/2012)

On 3/20/12 at approximately 12:30 AM, Lendell Graham came to the Fayetteville Police Department and turned himself into police in connection with the Club Ciroc homicide. He is currently being held in the Cumberland County Jail.

Update:

Next of kin notification has been made in the shooting at the Club Ciroc on March 18, 2012. The deceased has been identified as Steven Bruno (22 years old). The second victim taken to the hospital by a private vehicle to be treated for a gunshot wound has been identified as Darrell Wilson (26 years old).

Stephen Bruno’s last known address is a residence on the 4400 block of Pensacola Drive in Hope Mills.

Homicide Investigation

On March, 18 2012 at approximately 3:44 am, officers responded to Club Ciroc located at 6323 Raeford Road in reference to a shooting. Once officers arrived on scene, a victim was located in the parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, a black male 22 years of age, was pronounced dead on scene by medical personnel

At this time, detectives are actively working the case and seeking assistance in identifying persons of interest that were observed leaving the area in a gold in color four door vehicle. If anyone observed this vehicle leaving the area at the time of the shooting or can identify the occupants, they are asked to call Detective M. An additional black male that was shot at Club Ciroc was taken to Cape Fear Valley by personal vehicle. We are told that he is currently in out of surgery and in recovery.
