Collision with LASD patrol car in West Hollywood results in DUI arrest

Early Friday morning, April 6, 2012, at about 3:00am, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy in a marked black and white radio car, was stopped at the intersection of northbound Robertson Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood.

The deputy was preparing to turn right onto Santa Monica Boulevard when a black BMW driven by Suspect Amanda Bynes attempted to pass to the right of the radio car. Suspect Bynes' car allegedly collided with the right rear quarter panel of the radio car. There was minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles.

An investigation was conducted at the scene and 26-year old Suspect Amanda Bynes was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, with a bail of $5,000.00. No one was injured in the collision.
