10-Year-Old Critical Missing Girl in Rampart
Los Angeles: The family of Yaiza Cuevas and the Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Division are asking for the public’s help to locate Cuevas.
On Friday, 04/20/12 at 3:30 pm, the babysitter, Rosa Caranza, responded to Logan Elementary School, located at 1711 Montana St, to pick up the Critical Missing’s (Subject Yaiza Cuevas) two sisters from school. Yaiza, who attends a music class after school, advised the babysitter not to pick her up at 6:00 p.m., because her mother’s friend, Suzy Gonzalez, would be there. It appears there was a lack of communication between the babysitter and subject’s mother, Mira Madrid, as to who was going to pick up the subject from school at 6:00 p.m.
At 7:00 p.m., Yaiza’s mother responded to the babysitter’s residence to pick up her daughters. It was at this time that Yaiza’s mother learned that Yaiza had not been picked up by the babysitter from her music class. The mother believed that Yaiza may have walked home from school, but when she arrived home Yaiza was not at home. Yaiza’s mother immediately began to try and locate her missing 10 year-old daughter on her own without success. She then responded to Rampart Police Station to report her daughter missing at 10:00 p.m.
Yaiza Cuevas is described as a 10 year-old female Hispanic with dark hair, green eyes and a fair complexion. She is 5-'0" tall and weighs 110 pounds and has a heavy build. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, and black shoes.
