Felony Warrant Arrests from Illegal Encampment
• Ryan KENLON; age 33, of Santa Maria.
• Robert WILLIAMS, age 46, of Paso Robles.
WHERE: 600 block of Toro St, near US 101 (101 northbound off ramp for Highway 1).

At approximately 2:15 p.m. this afternoon, officers of the San Luis Obispo Police Department were checking on an illegal campsite located to the rear of the El Toro Motel in the 600 block of Toro St. The camp was situated in trees and shrubbery alongside a freeway offramp. A check of this same camp two days ago resulted in the recovery of several items of stolen property and the arrest of a suspect wanted for auto theft. Today, as officers approached the camp, two adult males, later identified as KENLON and WILLIAMS, saw the officers and immediately fled the area on foot. The officers pursued them on foot and quickly caught the two men. Both KENLON and WILLIAMS had outstanding felony warrants for their arrest.
Ryan KENLON is on parole for PC 245 (assault with a deadly weapon) and was considered a Parolee-at-Large.
Robert WILLIAMS is on probation for PC 69 (resisting or obstructing a public official by means of threats or threats of violence) and was wanted for a probation violation.
Both are being held at the San Luis Obispo County Jail without bail. Additionally, they are both charged with PC 148, resisting arrest.
