Arrest in El Puente Bar Assault SRPD 12-8346

On July 6, 2012, approximately 2 a.m., Santa Rosa Police Officers were called to 1709 Santa Rosa Avenue (El Puente Bar) regarding a physical assault where the victim had been hit with a bottle or a hard object in the forehead area. Officers arrived on the scene within minutes and located the Victim, Yuridia Hernandez (a 25 year old Sebastopol resident) suffering from a large laceration to the forehead. Victim Hernandez was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released for her injuries. Additional witnesses were interviewed at the scene and Officers learned that the suspect’s name was “Heidi” and she was described as a Hispanic female.

Detectives from the Santa Rosa Violent Crimes Team were called and assisted with this investigation. On Monday, July 9, 2012, the suspect in this case was positively identified as Suspect, Heidi Gonzales (a 19 year old Santa Rosa resident). On Monday, July 9th about 2 p.m., Detectives located Suspect Gonzales at her Santa Rosa residence and arrested her for the felonious assault. Suspect Gonzales was later booked at the Sonoma County Jail for 245 (a) PC, assault with a deadly weapon.
