Summer heat waves can be dangerous. Avoid heat related illness by increasing your fluid intake, replacing salt and minerals by drinking fruit juice or a sports beverage, wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen, slow down and pace yourself, stay indoors if possible or use a buddy system if working in the heat and do NOT leave infants, young children and pets in a parked car. http://www.nws.noaa.gov/os/heat/index.shtml
