Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced the recent indictments of ten defendants by a Hunterdon County Grand Jury.
Robert Cronce, age 67, of Flemington, was indicted on one count of 4th Degree Stalking. Mr. Cronce is alleged to have harassed another resident of Flemington on two or more occasions with the intent to cause emotional distress to the victim. During the second alleged incident, Mr. Cronce grabbed the victim and attempted to kiss her. Assistant Prosecutor Brian Shevlin presented the case.
John Livoti, age 42, of Hampton, was indicted on one count of 4th Degree Violation of a Condition of Community Supervision for Life. In February 2012, federal authorities charged Mr. Livoti with the use of a computer for purposes of trading child pornography. Livoti is serving a special condition of community supervision for life for a 1999 Sexual Assault conviction from Monmouth County and is not permitted to connect to the internet without permission. These charges stem directly from the federal investigation. Assistant Prosecutor Brian Shevlin presented the case.
Nicholas Pokriots age 25, of Trenton, Christian Nigro, age 26, of Old Bridge, and Robert Stanley, age 41, of Trenton, were indicated on multiple counts of Burglary and Theft relating to six residential burglaries that occurred in the towns of Stockton, East Amwell Township, and West Amwell Township. The successful investigation into these burglaries and other burglaries that occurred in surrounding counties was the result of a Multi-Jurisdictional Burglary Task Force, which included among other agencies, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, the Raritan Township Police Department, the Readington Township Police Department, the New Jersey State Police, and the Delaware Township Police Department. Nydell Green, age 33, of Trenton, was indicted for 3rd Degree Uttering a Forged Instrument, 4th Degree Possession of a False Government Document, and 4th Degree Hindering Apprehension. On March 18, 2012, Mr. Green was observed by a Raritan Township Police Officer driving a vehicle with a headlight out and talking on a cellular telephone.
After being stopped by police, Mr. Green produced a Virginia driver’s license in the name of Devale Green. The driver’s license lacked proper security features and the printing appeared distorted. When asked, the driver stated that his name was Devale Green, but a check of the license showed that it returned to another individual. The officer also noted that the bolts on the license plate appeared loose. A check of the plates revealed that they had been reported stolen from another vehicle in Lumberton, New Jersey. Further investigation revealed that Green bought the license on the Internet for $200. Assistant Prosecutor John Burke presented the case.
Humberto Rivera, age 59, of Flemington, was indicted for one count of 4th Degree Certain Person not to Possess a Weapon. Mr. Rivera was previously convicted of Murder in New York. Police spoke to Rivera because he was allegedly harassing patrons of the Border’s Book Store on Route 202. Upon speaking to him, he was found to be in possession of a folding knife. Assistant Prosecutor Brian Shevlin presented the case.
Robert Bosworth, age 31, of Detroit, Michigan, was indicted on multiple counts of 3rd Degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and 4th Degree Obstruction. Mr. Bosworth was found sleeping in his car on the side of the road in Clinton Township. Officers approached his vehicle and observed a white powdery substance on his person, clothing, and personal effects in plain view. Officers ordered Mr. Bosworth out of the vehicle and instructed him not to wipe the powder off of his nose and pants, but he disobeyed that instruction. A subsequent search of the Defendant and his vehicle revealed several different controlled dangerous substances, including Cocaine, Clonazepam, and Valium, within the vehicle and amongst his personal effects. Assistant Prosecutor Anthony Anastasio presented the case.
Vincent Salerno, age 32, of Jersey City, was indicted on one count of 3rd Degree Theft and one count of 3rd Degree Shoplifting. The case was presented by Assistant Prosecutor Anthony Anastasio.
