Narrative:
On 7-21-12, Moorpark Patrol Deputies responded to a call of a disturbance in the 400 block of Millard Street, Moorpark. Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call regarding a female being held on the ground by a male subject. When the first deputy arrived, he saw Michael William Gonzalez holding the female victim on the ground. As the deputy attempted to pull Gonzalez off of the victim, he turned around and hit the deputy in the face causing injury. Other deputies responded to the scene and eventually subdued Gonzalez with the use of a taser and took him into custody. Two other deputies received minor injuries. One deputy was treated and released at the hospital.

Gonzalez was arrested for false imprisonment by violence of the female victim, four counts of resisting arrest using force, possession of a dirk or dagger, criminal threats, domestic violence, battery upon a peace office causing injury and under the influence of a controlled substance. Gonzalez is currently in custody at the Ventura County Main Jail with a bail of $500,000.
