FBI notifies Fremont PD that the white powder mailed to us earlier in the week is non-toxic. Nothing further and investigation still ongoing.

#022 Robbery
At 12:50 p.m., FPD Officers responded to a report of a robbery in front of American High School. The victim, a 14 year old, was walking in the area when he was approached by suspect #1 who exited a vehicle. Suspect #1 asked to use the victim's phone, then pushed the victim to the ground, punched him and took the phone. Suspect #1 fled south on Fremont Blvd in the suspect vehicle, driven by suspect #2. DESCRIPTIONS: Suspect #1- black male adult, 5'9", 190, slight chubby build, short black hair, red and plaid shirt, dark jeans. Suspect #2- black male adult, possible dreadlocks, black hat, and black shirt. Suspect vehicle described as a gold 4 door sedan.

#029 Child Endangerment
At 2:35 p.m., Fremont PD and Fremont Fire are called to Kohls to investigate a baby crying in the back seat of a vehicle. A 33 year old adult female left her 9 month old baby locked in her car for about 35 minutes while she shopped inside Kohls. Citizens called it in. The mother had returned to the car and opened it up by the time we arrived. The baby is okay and is released to a family member at the scene. The mother is arrested for child endangerment.

#043 Drunk in Public
Public drunkenness arrest by Officer R. Smith who found a 21 year old adult male drunk and disorderly on Pennsylvania Ave.

#051 Drunk in Public
Public drunkenness arrest by Officer Kindorf at 10:00 p.m., who found a 49 year old male drunk and disorderly on Civic Center/Walnut.

#052 DUI Arrest
At 9:31 p.m., Officer Taylor conducts a traffic stop on Warm Springs Ct. Witnesses call in and report a male had been parked in front of a business for about 3 hours and appeared to need help. A 35 year old adult male is arrested for DUI and booked.

#053 Strong Arm Robbery
At 10:39 p.m., Officers are dispatched to a strong-arm robbery (purse snatch attempt) that occurred at Archstone (3900 block of Civic Center). The suspect is described as a white male adult, possibly transient, 40’s, 5’5” with a scraggly beard and hair. Ofcr Leopardi handled the case.

#003 Stolen Vehicle
At 11:40 p.m., Officer Rodriguez is detailed to suspicious subjects checking out vehicles with flashlights in the Camden Village Apts. The subjects are gone but the vehicle they were associated with is still present and warm. It’s a stolen vehicle from Hayward BART. Officers recover the vehicle.

#026 Complaint of Pain Collision
Officer Zambonin responded to a complaint of pain rear-end collision at Fremont/Mowry.

#041 Collision
Officer Snow investigated a collision at Argonaut/Mowry. A motorcyclist splitting lanes side-swipes a car and injures leg.

#046 Non-Injury Collision
Officer Kennedy responds to Lowry/Alvarado where a vehicle hits a sign.

BART PD Incidents:
On July 25, 2012 at 7:40 a.m., a patron reported that his black backpack was taken while on a train, about 45 minutes prior. He added that the backpack was unattended for a brief period and was taken by an unknown suspect. The victim reported his bag contained a sweater, laptop, and medication. He was not able to provide a location on the train during the time of the theft. CASE #1207-3614 provided by:
