Man crashed SUV into parked vehicle; pronounced deceased at Arlington hospital shortly afterward

A 56-year-old Arlington man died today after being involved in a traffic accident. The man was traveling southbound in the 4900 block of Osage Drive just before 9 a.m. today (Thursday, August 16, 2012), when he lost control of the Lincoln Navigator he was driving and struck a parked, unoccupied Jeep Grand Cherokee on the northbound side of the roadway. The driver of the Lincoln was driven by ambulance to the Medical Center of Arlington, where he was pronounced dead.

Police investigators are working with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death, and looking into the possibility that a medical condition was a factor in the crash. The Arlington man will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner once next of kin have been notified.
