Roadway reconstruction projects on Blmfd Ave & Linden Ave to begin on/about 8/20. 
Beginning the week of August 20, 2012, two major road reconstruction projects will begin in Verona.
Linden Ave Reconstruction:
Linden Ave, from Pompton Ave (Route 23) to Wildwood Terr. (near Cumberland Ave.) will be closed, in sections, beginning at Pompton Ave and working west (towards Caldwell) to allow for the reconstruction of the roadway, curbing, and sidewalks.
Bloomfield Ave Streetscape:
The streetscape project will now commence on Bloomfield Ave at Park Place and work east (towards Montclair) beginning the week of August 20th. This project will make it necessary to close the right lane of Bloomfield Ave westbound (toward Caldwell).
In addition, as the project moves into the area of the Derwent Ave / Claremont Ave / Bloomfield Ave intersection, there will be no access onto Bloomfield Ave from Derwent or Claremont Avenues. Access to Bloomfield Ave from this area will need to be made from Park Ave, or any street east of Park Ave.
Appropriate signage will be in place prior to both projects starting giving motorists information on detour routes. In addition, the police department will be monitoring the areas under construction, and will take the appropriate action when school starts to allow for the safe passage of students who are walking to and from school as the reconstruction continues.
Please be alert to road closures, pedestrians that may enter the road at unexpected points, and also allow extra travel time while these roadway improvements are completed.
