Of these compliance checks and arrests, Chief de Werk said, “The teamwork of our allied law enforcement agencies in this instance represents exactly what needs to be done to combat the damaging consequences of AB109/realignment. While ‘only’ four of the arrestees were AB109, that, by itself, refutes the statements of the state officials who have shoved this down the throats of the good people of California. Local law enforcement knows what’s going on and how state policies are adversely affecting the safety and welfare of the people of this state. We will continue to do our best to fight for the safest possible communities.”
