Unknown Male Caucasian, 20-30 years old with thin build, committed a robbery using a gun at a westside Subway Sandwich Shop

On Thursday 10-17-13, shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to the Subway Sandwich restaurant at 600 W. 19th Street regarding an armed robbery which had just occurred.

The cashier reported that a male Caucasian, 20-30 years old, wearing a grey baseball cap and yellow and blue light-colored short-sleeve shirt, had entered the business earlier. The male removed a handgun from his waistband, pointed it at the female cashier and demanded money. The female gave the suspect cash from the register, and the male fled through the door at the front of the store on foot. No suspect vehicle was seen. Officers responded and searched the area; however, they were unable to locate the suspect.

This robbery suspect possibly attempted a similar robbery at a local salon earlier in the evening. No further details or photos are being released at this time.
