Due to the continuous rain during the weekend, a Travel Advisory has been issued for Hamilton County until 12:00pm on Monday, December 23. This advisory means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation. Individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
Several roads in the county are closed due to high waters and other roads may also be affected by the heavy rainfall. Among the closures are:

2. Lantern Road between 126th St. and 131st St.
3. 106th St. west of Hague Road
4. 136th St. between Brooks School Rd. and Marilyn Rd.
As a reminder, never drive through flooded roadways. Turn around and seek an alternate route if a road is covered by water.
The White River is expected to rise above flood stage on Sunday and continue to rise until it crests on Monday. EMA and public safety officials will continue to monitor conditions and bring updates as needed.
