Southwest Sheriff's Station seeking identity of suspect in occupied residential burglary

On October 23rd, 2014, at 12:30 P.M., Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home located in the 30800 block of Olympia Rose Drive, in the unincorporated area of French Valley, to investigate reports of an occupied residential burglary in progress.

The investigation revealed that the residents were at home when they heard a knock on the front door. They looked outside and did not recognize the male standing at the front door so they did not open the door. The residents locked themselves inside an upstairs bedroom and called the Sheriff’s Department.

While deputies were responding to the residence, the residents heard glass break and observed a lone male suspect inside the residence. The male fled in a full-size silver SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle).

The suspect is described as a black male adult approximately 18-20 years old, 5’-09", medium build, wearing a white t-shirt and black pants. His eyeglasses have disctinctive leopard-print temples (side arms).

Responding deputies were unable to locate the suspect involved in this incident and are asking anyone with information about this crime to notify them by calling the Sheriff’s Southwest Station business phone at (951) 696-3000.

Citizens may also submit an anonymous tip using the Sheriff's CrimeTips online form.
