Police are investigating a string of daytime burglaries in the area.

We are encouraging residents to be observant for suspicious persons in your neighborhoods due to a high number of residential burglaries throughout the town, mainly on the north side of Route 30. Homes along Franklin Ave, Gibbsboro Road, Norway Ave and Brand Ave have been broken into in recent weeks.

These residences along with others in Lindenwold have been burglarized for jewelry, change and in some cases electronics. Police have received information that persons of interest include one or more younger thin white males.

In most cases they break in through a side or rear window to gain access to the residence after which time they steal property from the residence. Prior to breaking in, it is believed they watch the residence to see when the owner leaves. If you see subjects fitting this description lingering in your neighborhood, notify Police immediately.

Here are some other ways you can help solve crimes and prevent future crimes:

 Install monitored alarm systems as these are the first line of defense when the home is empty.
 Camera systems are also great investigative tools which Police can use to help solve crimes.
 Keep doors, windows and vehicles locked.
 Keep valuables in a secure place out of sight.
 Be observant, notify Police if you see an unknown person on your property or a neighbor’s property.

If you have knowledge of any of these recent crimes please contact the Clementon Police Department at 856-783-2271 and ask to speak to an Investigator.
