Wednesday March 4th, 2015 :: 01:48 p.m. PST

On Thursday, March 5, 2015, between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00 A.M., there will be a simulated multiple injury collision involving a drunk driver at Heil and Foothill Street on the North side of Los Amigos High School. This will necessitate the closure of eastbound Heil at Newhope and
westbound Heil at Lassen Street, during the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. The simulated collision is part of a two-day program called “Every 15 Minutes” which is designed to challenge our youth to think about drinking, personal safety, driving habits and their responsibility to make mature decisions. The title of the program comes from the fact that every 15 minutes someone in the United States dies or is seriously injured in an alcohol-related traffic collision.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and appreciate your understanding while we present this very positive and worthwhile program.

“Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.”
