Fraud Arrest - Police Need the Public's Help to Locate Possible Additional Victims

LOCATION: “AGS Travel” “A&S Travel” “AES Travel” “Visa Travel” 8550 Garden Grove Blvd. #201, Garden Grove

SUSPECT: Rojas, Abdel Luis, 01-19-66, resident of Westminster

Detectives have been investigating a theft by fraud scam related
to an owner/operator of a travel agency known by several business names located in Garden Grove. Over the past few months, approximately (21) victims have come forward with reports claiming the business owner “Abdel Rojas” has accepted large amounts of cash for vacation itineraries. Rojas kept the money and did not deliver the travel packages or itineraries as promised. In total, the victims have a collective loss of approximately $50,000. Detectives served a search warrant yesterday at the suspects business and evidence of fraud were located. Rojas was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail for theft by fraud and multiple counts of grand theft with his bail being set at $100,000. The case is being submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for criminal charges.

Detectives are requesting any additional victims suffering a loss from Abdel Rojas or his travel agency to contact them. Refer all information to Detective Coleman, at 714-741-5815 or Detective Huynh at 714-741-5835.
