I.D. Theft Suspect - Encinitas

Investigators with the North Coastal Sheriff's Station want your help in identifying and locating a man wanted in connection with a stolen vehicle and identity theft case in Encinitas.

It all started around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 5th in the 2000 block of South Coast Highway 101 across from the San Elijo Campground. That's where the suspect stole a Kia rental car. It was recovered a short time later. Several items were stolen from the car, including a wallet with several credit cards. The suspect then racked up more than $3,000 in fraudulent charges.

This surveillance video from a gas station shows the suspect walking a limp. He was last seen driving a blue Hyundai Tucson with yellow paper plates. Someone out there knows him.
