SAPD Officers Arrest 56-Year-Old Male For Felony Vandalism – Gang Graffiti

Arrested: Joe Fugencio Mirabel (56) Santa Ana

On 12-13-2016, at approximately 10:00am, officers responded to a call of a male suspect spraying gang graffiti on the side of a business located in the 1800 block of West First Street. When officers arrived, they were contacted by a witness who provided them with cell phone video of the suspect painting an entire wall with gang graffiti. The suspect had fled the scene prior to officers arriving. Approximately 15 minutes later, the officers received a second call of the same suspect painting an entire residential block wall in the 200 block of South Franklin with gang graffiti . Officers arrived on scene and took suspect Joe Fugencio Mirabel (56) in custody without incident while he was fleeing the scene in the 2000 block of West Walnut. Suspect Mirabel was booked into the SAPD Jail for Felony Vandalism.
