UPDATE: Water Line Repairs Made, Water Restored

UPDATE: California American Water has made the repairs and water has been restored to all properties. Thank you for your patience.

A water line break occurred around noon on Wednesday, October 18, on Port Royale Road in the Coronado Cays due to paving operations as part of the annual Street, Curb and Gutter project. Water was immediately turned off and residents along Port Royale remain without water service. California American Water is on site but has yet to find the cause of the break. It is unclear how long it will take to repair or when residents will have water restored. Staff is monitoring the work and will update the community as soon as we know when water will be restored. The contractor on the project is on track to complete all but about 40 yards of one half of the road. The remaining 40 yards of roadway will not likely be paved until Friday, October 20, to allow base material to dry. Temporary traffic control measures are in place until paving operations in the area are complete.
