DUARTE WEEKLY CRIME BLOTTER Nov. 26 - Dec. 2, 2017

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of Nov 26– Dec 02, 2017
 
 
November 26, 2017

  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart).  The driver’s door-lock was damaged and medical equipment was stolen from the back seat of the vehicle.
 
November 27, 2017
  • A Grand Theft Vehicle was reported from the 1600 Block of Second Street.  A 2015 Toyota Corolla was stolen from the victim’s driveway.
  • A Petty Theft was reported on the 1100 Block of Calle Linares.  A woman’s wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1565 Central Avenue (Duarte High School). A student’s backpack and lap-top computer were stolen from the sidewalk near the students’ parking lot, after school hours.
 
November 28, 2017
  • An Armed Robbery was reported at 2700 E. Huntington Drive (7-Eleven). Two male suspects entered the store, simulated firearms with their hands in their jacket pockets, and demanded cash and cigarettes.  They obtained U.S. currency and fled the location.  Both suspects were arrested by responding deputies.
 
November 29, 2017
  • No significant activity.
 
November 30, 2017
  • A Petty Theft was reported from the 2000 Block of Broach Avenue.  Decorative concrete blocks were stolen from the victim’s front yard.
 
December 01, 2017
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported on the 3200 Block of Tannencrest Drive.  A woman’s purse, containing U.S. currency and miscellaneous items, was stolen from a locked vehicle. The vehicle was not damaged.
 
December 02, 2017
  • A Strong-Arm Robbery was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  A male suspect stole a briefcase and cosmetic items from the store display shelves.  The suspect used force to obtain the items and escape from Target Loss Prevention Agents.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart).  A woman’s purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot.

  • Deputies arrested an adult male for possession of illegal narcotics.
 
November 27, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for vandalism, an adult female for driving under the influence of alcohol, and two adult males for robbery.

  • No significant activity.
 
November 29, 2017
  • No significant activity.
 
November 30, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for being under the influence of a controlled substance.
 
December 01, 2017
  • No significant activity.
 
December 02, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for failure to appear in court, and an adult male for being under the influence of a controlled substance
 
*** In addition to the above outlined arrests, two persons were cited and released for driving without a driver’s license/driving with a suspended license.
