High Visibility Enforcement Results

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Torrance Police Department conducted a citywide HVE operation with the assistance of partnering agencies.  “Accident Hot Spots” and other traffic concerns were the focus.
The Torrance Police Department is committed to enhancing safe driving through education, visibility and enforcement in an effort to decrease traffic collisions and save lives.  These operations utilize Traffic Sign Boards to remind drivers to obey all traffic laws, and Motor Officers also devote the majority of their time educating commuters.
The Torrance Police Department is grateful to partner with our community and neighboring agencies:  Gardena Police Department, Redondo Beach Police Department, Manhattan Beach Police Department, Hawthorne Police Department, and El Segundo Police Department.

- 43 drivers were cited using CELL-PHONES 
- 29 drivers were cited due to SPEEDING 
- 26 drivers were cited for STOP SIGN VIOLATIONS  in residential areas.
