West side residents may smell propane from an earlier leak. FD has it under control and is monitoring the situation.

At 8:28PM today, Green Bay Fire Department and Police Department responded to a propane gas leak from a large tank at Ferrell Gas, 1245 N. Buchanan St. near Velp Ave. on the city's west side. The leak has been contained. Due to weather conditions, however, residents near the incident may smell propane or an odd odor for the next several hours as the gas dissipates. GBMFD is monitoring the situation and constantly checking the levels of gas in the air. There is no need to call police or fire if you smell propane over the next several hours. Please direct any questions regarding the incident to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
