  • A Grand Theft Auto was reported in the 1000 block of Mount Olive Drive.  A 1999 Honda CRV was taken from the street between 7:00 pm on August 27thand 9:30 am on August 28th. The vehicle was recovered on September 28, 2018 by LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division with no one in custody.

  • While patrolling the area of Duarte Road and Hope Drive, deputies observed a vehicle swerving in and out of lanes and conducted a traffic stop.  Upon contacting the adult male driver, it was determined he was driving without a license and detained.  Prior to conducting an inventory of the vehicle before towing it, the driver stated he had placed a Methamphetamine pipe under the seat.  The pipe was recovered as well as a bindle containing suspected Methamphetamine. After further investigation, the driver was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and driving without a license.

August 28, 2018
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  An adult female was observed by store security entering the store with a reusable bag.  The female selected several clothing items and miscellaneous toiletries, then entered the fitting rooms.  When she exited, she was wearing one of the new shirts.  As she exited the store without paying for the items, she was detained by security and the stolen items were recovered.  After further investigation, Deputies arrested the female for stealing approximately $100 in merchandise.

  • A Deputy observed an adult male exiting the Duarte Public Safety Office, and immediately recognized him as a local gang member who had an outstanding felony warrant. The suspect was arrested without incident outside the building.  Prior to transporting, the suspect was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun in a holster attached to the inside of his pants.  Along with the warrant, the suspect was charged with seven additional felony charges related to the handgun.
  • While patrolling the 1500 block of Bloomdale Street, deputies observed an adult male by the Duarte High School baseball field wearing women’s underwear and appeared to be exposing himself.  Due to the male being in close proximity of children, he was detained. After further investigation, there was no evidence the male was exposing himself, however, he was arrested for being under the influence of Methamphetamine.
