Narrative:

On 10/12/18, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Gang Unit concluded a two month multi-agency investigation into a City of Ventura public nuisance within the 200 Block of West Harrison Avenue. Investigators worked closely with the community to resolve this neighborhood nuisance. The multi-condominium property within the 200 Block of Harrison Avenue was overrun by squatters for the past year. The property had become a safe haven for gang members, narcotics users, wanted felons, wanted parolees, and other known dangerous criminals within Ventura County.

During the service of the search warrant at the property, a large quantity of methamphetamine and heroin was recovered. Numerous arrests were made of individuals with outstanding Ventura County felony warrants, parolees at large, and under the influence of a controlled substance.
