Two subjects arrested during a search warrant in Needles

DATE/TIME: Wednesday, January 30, 2019 1:15 p.m.

INCIDENT: Search Warrant, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Controlled Substance

LOCATION: 1200 block of Cherry Drive, Needles

SUSPECT(S): Robert Heliker, 49-year-old, resident of Needles
Kristina Hittle, 37-year-old, resident of Needles

On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 1:15 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s station and Needles Police served a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Cherry Drive in Needles. The search warrant was part of an on-going theft investigation. Robert Heliker and Kristina Hittle were contacted during the warrant service. Heliker and was found to be in possession of ammunition. Heliker has previous felony convictions and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition and was arrested. Hittle was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was also arrested.

Hittle was booked into the Colorado River jail and later released on a citation. Heliker was also booked into the Colorado River jail and is being held on $35,000 bail.
