Weather Advisory - Steady rain to arrive Tuesday. Commuters should allow extra time to travel

Another set of storms are due to hit California in the next week. The first should arrive later Tuesday afternoon.

Although no major flooding is expected in the East Kern area, motorists should allow extra time to arrive at their destinations.

Rain is expected to be steady until Wednesday.

Rain is expected to fall during Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning commute times.

Up to 1 inch of rain could fall.

Motorists that travel over desert roadways, that tend to accumulate standing water, should take extra precaution.

Slow down and prepare for changing road conditions.

Updates to roadway conditions will be sent as they become necessary,

Another storm may bring additional rain early next week.
