Peach Creek at Splendora affecting the following counties in Texas...Harris... Montgomery ...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the following rivers in Texas... West Fork San Jacinto near Humble affecting Harris and Montgomery Counties For West Fork San Jacinto River at Humble, Minor flooding is occuring, with Moderate flooding forecasted. For the Peach Creek, at Splendora, Minor flooding is occuring and is expected to continue. The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flood Warning for The Peach Creek at Splendora.

* until Monday morning or until the warning is canceled.

* At 0900 AM Friday the stage was 13.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.5 feet by this afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday evening.

* At 13.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main channel.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HARRIS, TX ... MONTGOMERY, TX

Instructions:

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede. Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route. Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few days. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.
