Wilmington Police arrest New Castle man found with firearm during traffic stop

Wilmington Police have arrested a 21-year-old New Castle man found with a gun during a motor vehicle stop.
On May 16 at approximately 3:40 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were on proactive patrol in the 400 block of Delamore Place when they observed a vehicle fail to signal. Police initiated a traffic stop, and observed a firearm in the vehicle as well as an occupant wanted on an outstanding capias.
Officers recovered a .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol as well as nineteen rounds of ammunition.
Police removed all occupants and took 21-year-old New Castle man Louis Hall into custody without incident. Hall has been charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, as well as a traffic offense. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
Police also processed the outstanding capias for one of the other occupants of the vehicle.
