Residents are urged to report suspicious vehicles in their neighborhoods and to use a preventive approach to securing their homes. Actions such as having lights on timers, leaving a radio on, utilizing locks on doors and windows as well as installing devices that augment security. Devices such as security strike plates, quality deadbolt locks, security locks for sliding glass doors and polycarbonate security panes for glass windows and doors assist in reducing the risk of burglary significantly.
