WEEKEND DRUG OPERATION NETS 33 ARRESTS AND 4 METH LABS

JACKSON MADISON COUNTY METRO NARCOTICS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday the Metro Narcotics Unit conducted a third operation in cooperation with local pharmacies to target unlawful purchases of psuedoephedrine, the primary precursor ingredient used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. In addition to the Metro Narcotics Unit, officers from the Jackson Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Team, Tactical Unit, Street Crimes Unit, Traffic Unit and Patrol Division assisted in the operation. There were also officers from the West Tennessee Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department who participated in the operation. As a result of the combined efforts, officers made a total of 31 arrests and seized 4 meth labs, two in Jackson, one in Henderson County, and one in Decatur County. Of the 33 people arrested, cases were developed on 21 of them for promotion of methamphetamine manufacturing. The remaining 10 people were arrested for various other charges, including drug charges, traffic charges, or outstanding warrants.

This is the third operation of this type conducted since early December 2009. The total number of arrests to date is 81 and officers will continue to conduct these investigations periodically utilizing funds from the U.S. Department of Justice COPS Office that reimburse officers for their overtime on Methamphetamine related investigations.

The following people were arrested over this latest three day operation:

On Saturday night, Timothy Duke Moore, age 49, and Mary Pamela Smith, age 46, both of Stanford Hill Lane in Cedar Grove, TN, were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, Possession of A Schedule IV Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officers stopped their vehicle on the parking lot of Lynwood Shopping Center at 941 N. Parkway after investigators observed them purchase numerous supplies used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. At the time of the stop, officers discovered an active meth lab in the back of their Mazda pickup truck. It was also discovered that Ms. Smith had an active warrant for Violation of Community Corrections. Officers found methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax, Vicoden, and Valium in the vehicle. Both are still in custody in the Madison County Jail. Moore is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and Smith in lieu of a $150,000 bond. Officers remained on the scene until the clean up of the lab was completed.

On Sunday night, officers stopped a Pontiac Sunfire with expired tags after the four occupants purchased items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. Officers have charged Amber Marie Hilliard, age 22, of Ellis Road in Buena Vista, TN; Tara Nichole Smith, age 33 of Renfroe Road in Huntingdon, TN; Spencer Melton, age 37, of Third Avenue in Huntingdon, TN; and Nancy Marlene O’Malley, age 45, of Cotham Drive in Huntingdon, TN. All four subjects face charges of Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Parapheranalia. At the time of the stop, officers discovered that O’Malley had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear. Upon searching the vehicle officers found a black bag in the back seat of the car with components of a meth lab inside. Officers also found Methamphetamine loaded in syringes and Xanax tablets in the vehicle. O’Malley faces additional charges of Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Xanax) and the failure to appear warrant. Hilliard and Smith have been released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond each. Melton and O’Malley are still in custody in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

David Dewight Manuel, Jr., age 38, of Humboldt, TN, was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond.

Judith Cramer Belew, age 21, of Ed Moore Road in Beech Bluff was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sell or Deliver, Identity Theft, and Evading Arrest. She is still in custody in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Judy Lynn Cole, age 46, of Clairs Point Drive in Jackson, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. She was released from custody after posting a $3,000 bond.

Daniel Alton Perry, age 45, of Cecil Walls Road in Yuma, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $3,000 bond.

Matthew Alex Hrymak, age 19, of Lower Brownsville Road in Jackson was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond.

Nathan Scott Murray, age 18, of Riverside Drive in Jackson was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond.

Tasha Lynn Ballard, age 26, of Stone Road in Pinson, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Tampering with Evidence, and Improper Lights. She was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond.

Walter Frank Bradley, age 34, of East College Street in Jackson was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $3,000 bond.

Jeremiah Odell Maness, age 23, of Goosefoot Road, in Bradford, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He was released from custody after posting a $3,000 bond.

Casey Lee Callins, age 27 of School Road in Guys, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture and Driving on Suspended License, 3rd Offense. He is still in custody at the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Tiffany Darlene Morris, age 26, of Barnhill Road in Lexington, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is still in custody at the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Jackie Lee Woody, age 21, of Hughes Road in Scotts Hill, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is still in custody at the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Scotty Shane Powers, age 27, of Westwood Acres in Scotts Hill, TN was charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. He is still in custody in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Justin Allen Johnson, age 21, and April M. Shavers, age 20, both of Rogers Road in Scotts Hill, TN, were charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine Manufacture. Johnson also faces a charge of Driving on a Revoked License, 2nd Offense and Shavers faces an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. They are still in custody in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond each.

Robin Stephens, age 24, of Carney Road in Stanton, TN was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell or Deliver and Possession of Marijuana. She was released from custody after posting a $7,500 bond.

James David Toombs, age 46, of Locust Avenue in McKenzie, TN was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released from custody after posting a $10,000 bond.

Xavier Darrell Young, age 20, of Berry Street in Jackson was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance and Possession of A Schedule I Controlled Substance.

Janie Carol Rhodes, age 44, of Mifflin Road in Jackson, was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Xanax), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is still in custody in the Madison County Jail in lieu of a $7,500 bond.

Aundrea M. Outlaw, age 34 of Chippewa Drive in Jackson was issued a misdemeanor citation for Simple Possession of Marijuana and released.

Michael Sylvester Cole, Jr., age 37, of Clairs Point Drive in Jackson was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Milan, TN and has been released to the custody of the Milan Police Department.

Courtney Emmanuel Elam, age 29, of George Street in Jackson was arrested on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Brandon White, age unavailable, was issued a citation for Violation of the Open Container Law

Jimmy Lee Linley, age 27, of Brookside Drive in Conway, AR was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, 2nd Offense.

Kyle Richard Patterson, age 21, of Hickory Corner Road in Henderson, TN was charged with Driving on a Suspended License.
