The City of Pomona will conduct two Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) informational meetings: Tuesday, March 10th at 4pm and Tuesday, March 24th at 6pm at City Council Chambers, City Hall, 505 So. Garey Ave., Pomona, CA 91769.

Staff will discuss CDBG funds available, eligible uses for these funds, and how funds have been used in the past. A community needs survey will be covered in detail, completed and collected. The survey is an invaluable tool and is used to:
• Generate Community Involvement
• Identify and Establish Priority Needs
• Support Citizen Participation in Proposed Solutions
• Recommend Projects For Funding
The City encourages participation from all Pomona residents, particularly those living in the areas where CDBG funds are proposed to be used. Through a series of Neighborhood Watch meetings and other focus groups, the community is informed about the amount of CDBG funds available to be used. As part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensure Citizen Participation, public comments and suggestions received from the Survey are given consideration in establishing priority needs.
