<p><strong>HIT AND RUN FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION (Update)</strong></p>


<p><strong>CORONA, CA</strong>&ndash; &nbsp;Sunday evening at about 9 p.m., Corona Police traffic investigators identified a 18-year-old, Riverside man, as the driver involved in the fatal hit-and-run traffic collision that occurred early Sunday morning. Traffic investigators have not disclosed the suspect&rsquo;s name, as the investigation is on-going and additional witnesses still need to be interviewed. The driver is cooperating with the investigation and has provided police with a statement. The deceased was later identified as Diana Mellott-Green, 33, of Riverside.</p>

<p>On Sunday, September 4th, 2016 at approximately 3 a.m., the Corona Police Department, and Corona Fire Department responded to the 1400 block of East Sixth Street regarding a report of an unconscious female lying in the street.&nbsp; The officers arrived and found a 33-year old female deceased in the traffic lanes of eastbound Sixth Street, near El Camino Avenue.</p>

<p>Video footage from the area revealed the victim was struck by a light-colored sedan traveling east on Sixth Street.&nbsp; The driver of the vehicle failed to stop to check on the victim and fled, eastbound on Sixth Sixth Street before emergency services arrived on scene.</p>

<p>The Corona Police Department&rsquo;s Collision Response Team responded and is investigating the fatal collision.&nbsp; No arrests have been made in this case, and it is unknown if alcohol, drugs, or speed were a factor in the collision.&nbsp; The victim&rsquo;s name is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.</p>
