The City of Santa Reminds you that Voting is as Easy as 1-2-3!!!

Three easy steps to make sure you are ready for Election Day on November 8th:

1. Register to Vote (or update information).

You are eligible to vote if you are:
• 18 years or older by Election Day
• a U.S. citizen
• not in prison or on parole for a felony

How to register or update information:

• Fill out the form online at www.OCVote.com.
If you are already registered, you need to fill out a new form if you move, change your name, or want to change your choice of political party.
• Or call the Clerk of the Council Office at 714 647-6520 to have the form mailed to you.
• Or pick one up at local County facility, library, post office, or DMV.

There is no cost to register. Fill out the form completely and mail it in. You will be asked to include your driver’s license number or other pertinent information.

Deadline to Register is October 24th!

2. Get ready to Vote.

Before you vote, get to know the issues and candidates in this election. To help you prepare, all registered voters get two booklets in the mail:

• A Sample Ballot that lists all of the candidates and measures that will be on your ballot. It also shows where you vote (your “polling place”). This booklet is sent by the Orange County Registrar of Voters office.

• The Voter Information Guide with information about statewide candidates and ballot measures. This booklet is from the California Secretary of State’s Office.

The booklets are nonpartisan, meaning, facts are provided and do not attempt to influence.

3. Go Vote!

Choose how you want to vote:

1. At your polling place.
Find your polling place by looking at your address label or the back cover of the Sample Ballot or look it up at www.ocvote.com

2. At home with a “Vote by Mail” ballot.
Request a ballot by November 1, 2016.
