Fireworks Illegal Throughout Covina

The Covina Police Department reminds you that all fireworks are illegal in the City of Covina, including the Safe and Sane variety. We ask that you respect your neighbors throughout the City, many of whom are concerned pet owners, forced to deal with the unintended consequences created by those who illegally use fireworks. Other unintended results of illegal fireworks use are injuries. In 2013, US hospital emergency rooms treated more than 11,000 persons for fireworks related injuries.

Those who choose to ignore these warnings face citations, which carry steep fines, and will also result in the confiscation of expensive unused fireworks.  Fortunately, there are far less expensive and far better alternatives than using illegal fireworks. We encourge you to consider professional fireworks shows, being hosted in nearby cities including Pomona, La Verne, Walnut and West Covina.  Please help us ensure EVERYONE in our community has a safe and enjoyable Independence Day!
