San Marino Town Hall safety meeting tonight. 7:00pm @ Webb Theater SMHS.

Please review the attached letter from resident Ghassan Roumani.  This community safety meeting will be held tonight at the Webb Theater at San Marino  High School.  Chief John Incontro will be attending and will address your questions and concerns.

Dear Neighbors,

In June 2017, burglaries in San Marino rose by 60% compared to previous months. Despite a dip burglaries during the Fourth of July week, burglaries across the city remain high and quite concerning.

We, San Marino residents, must come together with our council members and our police department to discuss what is being done to improve our safety. We invite all San Marino residents who are concerned about the rise in burglaries, and those who have ideas for how we might make our community more secure, to join us at a city-wide town hall meeting on Monday August 21st at 7:00 PM at San Marino high school Webb Theater (2701 Huntington Dr).

Our last neighborhood meeting took place on June 5th at San Marino Public Library and details can be found at:  (http://sanmarinotribune.com/residents-meet-to-discuss-increased-burglaries-in-town/)

In the August meeting, we aim to cover the following topics:

• Update on recent burglaries from neighbors,
• Police chief update,
• Updates from community members about actions taken since the last meeting and suggestions, and
• Open discussion.

We invite all San Marino City Council members and running candidates to participate

Please share this message with other San Marino residents who might not be on our list serve.

If you have any questions, would like to add an item to the agenda, and/or would like to participate in a particular topic for this meeting or for future meetings, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.

Your neighbor,

Ghassan Roumani, M.D.
