Pomona Officers Prevent Suicide Attempt

NARRATIVE:
On 10/7/17 at approximately 4:05 pm, Pomona Officers responded to the rear alley of 800 W. Eleventh St. regarding a suicidal subject. When officers arrived, they made contact with a 29 year old male who was attempting to cut his arm. He refused to comply with the officers and continued to cut himself using a broken piece of glass. To prevent further injury, officers deployed a taser and safely detained the distraught man. He was treated at the scene by LA County Fire and then transported to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for further evaluation.
