Yucaipa MET Team conducts a Probation check and arrests four subjects for various crimes

DATE/TIME: October 20, 2017 4:28 p.m.

INCIDENT: HS11366, Own / Operate Drug House / HS11377(a) Possession of a controlled substance / PC1203.2 - Probation violation

LOCATION: 13000 Block of 5th St

SUSPECT(S): Misty Laur, 19 years old, Yucaipa/ Cameron Hill, 28 years old, Yucaipa transient/ Ariel Mcgrew, 24 years old, Cherry Valley/ Trevor Ponce, 25 years old, Victorville transient

On August 30, 2017 Yucaipa Met Team Deputies Station Detectives and San Bernardino County Probation served a search warrant at a residence on the 13000 block of 5th St. The home owner Misty Laur was arrested for maintaining / operating a drug house,

On September 8, 2017 a fugitive recover team went to Laur’s residence in attempt to locate a wanted fugitive from out of state and they observed narcotics. The MET team and Station Detectives responded to conduct an investigation and Laur was arrested a second time for narcotics violations after evidence of narcotics being used was located. During this investigation six other subjects were arrested for various charges to include possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of stolen property, forgery, and probation violations.

On October 20, 2017 the Yucaipa MET team, Station Detectives and Station Probation officer conducted a probation check at the location for a subject who was at the residence on felony probation. During the investigation several subjects were found in possession of suspected methamphetamines, narcotic paraphernalia and suspected stolen credit cards and mail. Misty Laur was arrested for a third time for maintaining / operating a drug house, Cameron Hill was arrested for probation violation, Trevor Ponce was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and Ariel Mcgrew was arrested for narcotic paraphilia,

Based on the investigation, it is believed the four suspects are all involved in the ongoing vehicle burglaries, thefts, and ongoing check fraud crimes. Detectives are releasing the booking photos of the four suspects. Anyone that has witnessed any of these suspects committing a theft or check fraud is urged to contact the Yucaipa Police Detective Division.

The Multiple Enforcement Team / Problem Oriented Policing Detail is funded by and serves the City of Yucaipa. Among other duties, officers assigned to this detail seek wanted persons, work with parole and probation officers to ensure that people under their supervision remain in compliance with the law, and respond to concerns expressed by citizens regarding all types of criminal activity that is affecting their neighborhoods and communities.
