The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of Nov 12– Nov 18, 2017
 
 
November 12, 2017

  • No significant activity.
 
November 13, 2017
  • An Aggravated Assault was reported in the parking lot at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Wal-Mart).  A male suspect, riding a bicycle through the parking, lot swung a knife at the victim, missing him.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1220 Highland Avenue (U.S. Post Office). Six locker key identification tags were stolen from lockers.
 
November 14, 2017
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 1050 Huntington Drive (Target).  The front, driver’s side tire and rim were stolen off the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot.
 
November 15, 2017
  • A Sexual Assault was reported at the corner of Royal oaks Drive and Las Lomas Road.  The investigation is ongoing.
  • A Commercial Burglary was reported at 2229 Huntington Drive (Duarte Pizza Company).  The glass front door to the business was shattered.  No loss was reported.
  • A Grand Theft Vehicle was reported from the 900 Block of Mount Olive Drive.  The victim’s 1993 Honda Civic was stolen from the street.
 
November 16, 2017
  • An Attempted Armed Robbery was reported on the 1500 Block of Central Avenue.  The victim was confronted by two suspects.  One suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded money.  The suspects searched the victim’s pockets and backpack for money but did not find any.  They fled west-bound through the soft-ball field.
  • A Petty Theft was reported at 2313 Huntington Drive.  A male suspect stole two bottles of vodka from the “Spirits” aisle inside the store.
 
November 17, 2017
  • A Burglary was reported on the 2500 Block of Fernley Drive.  A male suspect shattered a bedroom window and attempted to enter the house.  Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect.
  • A Burglary was reported on the 400 Block of Woodbluff Street.  The pedestrian door to the garage was kicked open.  No loss was reported.
  • A Vehicle Burglary was reported in the alley east of 1345 Huntington Drive (La Paz Medical Center).  The front passenger’s window of the victim’s vehicle was shattered and the victim’s wallet was stolen.
 
November 18, 2017
 
  • A Grand Theft Vehicle was reported from the 1400 Block of Mountain Avenue.  The victim’s 2004 Acura TL was stolen from the parking lot.

  • Deputies arrested an adult female for petty theft.
 
November 15, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for reckless driving, an adult female for possession of illegal narcotics, and an adult male for a parole violation.
 
November 16, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for possession of illegal narcotics.
 
November 17, 2017
  • Deputies arrested an adult male for burglary, and two adult males for possession of illegal narcotics.
 
November 18, 2017
  • No significant activity.
