#LASD- Homicide Detectives Responded to a Death Investigation, 600 block of Fetterly Avenue, uninc East Los Angeles


Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives responded to the 600 block of Fetterly Avenue, unincorporated East Los Angeles, on Friday, November 24, 2017, at approximately 9:30 A.M to investigate the circumstances surrounding a residential fire where a male Hispanic adult was found deceased inside.
 
Deputies from Transit Services Bureau observed smoke in a residential neighborhood.  The deputies located the source of the smoke and requested the assistance of Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.  Fire fighters extinguished the flames and discovered the body of an unknown male Hispanic adult deceased inside the location. 
 
Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Arson and Explosives Detail determined the ignition source of the fire to be suspicious in nature.
 
Homicide Bureau detectives will work in conjunction with Arson and Explosives Detail personnel to investigate this incident.
 
The cause of death and identification of the victim will be determined by Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner personnel.  
 
There is no further information at this time, and the investigation is on-going.
